Stasher Silicone Bags are a reusable, airtight storage bag made from platinum silicone. Pure silicone is a completely safe and highly stable material made from sand and carbon. Platinum silicone is of even higher quality than food-grade silicone.

Stasher is a sustainable and safe alternative to the plastic bag, and perfect for those of you who love the traditional zip-lock bags. It is a sustainable alternative not only because it is a product that can be used thousands of times. It is made of sand, which we have incredible amounts of on our planet. It does not use fossil resources or resources that, for example, should be used in food production.

Stasher bags can be used to heat food, sous vide, microwave, store dry goods, store fruits and vegetables - the list is endless!

When Stasher bags are no longer usable, they can be burned. The ashes can be added to compost, garden soil, or sprinkled on the lawn. Stasher bags should otherwise be disposed of as household waste in Norway.

Care instructions: dishwasher safe. Do not wring out. Can also be washed by hand.

Tip: The bag may become discolored by certain foods. Odors from certain foods may also develop. Wash thoroughly after use.

Use: can be used in the oven, in the microwave and in a pot up to approx. 200 degrees. Stasher can also be frozen. NB: Do not fill the silicone bags too full, when freezing the contents will expand and may create tears/holes in the storage bag.

Good tips for those of you who have bought a Wonderbag!

  • Our bags are delivered vacuum packed. Take the time to loosen the compact foam with your fingers.
  • A little warmth helps – a few minutes in front of a sunny window can soften the filling and make it more pliable. It can take up to 48 hours and several rounds for the bag to be completely “unwrapped”
  • It is important to place a mat or folded kitchen towel between the hot pot and the bottom of the Wonderbag to protect the fabric from scorch marks.
  • Use a pot that matches the size of the Wonderbag you have purchased – it helps keep food warm longer.
  • Make sure your food reaches boiling point and simmers (cooking time depends on the recipe) before placing the pot in the Wonderbag. This ensures that the food continues to cook after it is removed from the heat source.
  • Start with smaller pieces of vegetables or meat when testing out the Wonderbag. Once you get a feel for how long your food takes, you can move on to larger pieces.
